He looks sad… but with that smile on his lips, it’s feels more like he’s miserable and depressed while trying to put on a smile for show.
Or he might just be looking shy, it’s one of those.

good technique in drawing….you made it easy!but i dont think its a bear’s back…it should be bear’s front view!!!
